Ride the Rockies Tour

Get ready to take your British Car for a spin and explore the winding back roads just outside Denver! Hosted by the Colorado English Motoring Conclave, the tour will begin at the Oak Park parking lot. Our witty tour master will provide an introduction and directions, guiding participants along the back roads and hills perfect for British Cars.

The tour will start no later than 10:00 AM and will be timed so that you'll arrive at the ending site just around lunchtime. The start time is flexible, earning the tour its nickname, the 'Bobs long drive to get a beer' tour. As always, the tour will feature a 'Gimmick Rally' with questions to answer along the way.

The tour will conclude at a 'secret' restaurant or brew pub, where participants will turn in their answer sheets and engage in a series of Bob's infamous tie-breaker questions. These are typically focused on British automotive or slang themes, so brush up on your knowledge of The Beatles as well.

Don't wait until Sunday to start the fun! Make the most of your Conclave weekend and join us for the tour on Saturday. Remember, this is a FUN TOUR! No need to take things too seriously; just enjoy the driving experience!

Conclave

The City of Arvada has once again generously offered Oak Park as the venue for the Conclave. If you have attended the Conclave in the past, you know what a fantastic day it can be! With your help, we can expect to have over 500 British Cars and Bikes in attendance. Feel free to bring a picnic lunch or purchase food and drinks from the vendors, and enjoy a relaxing picnic under the trees.

Purpose

The Colorado English Motoring Conclave aims to promote the operation, preservation, and owner participation of the esteemed British marques. Regardless of your vehicle's condition, you are welcome to join us! From everyday drivers to concours examples, all British vehicles are invited. Think of it as a giant group therapy session for British vehicle enthusiasts like us!

Be a part of this exciting event and witness a diverse collection of British marques. Learn about specialized services, relish food, fun, and entertainment in the park, visit local vendors, and take advantage of super deals. This is a family-friendly event, so bring the kids and share the joy of classic vehicles.

We are thrilled to host the full weekend of events this year, while adhering to all CDC, State, and Local pandemic requirements. We kindly request all participants to do the same.

History

Established in 1983, the Colorado English Motoring Conclave is a collaborative effort among various English car and motorcycle clubs in the Denver metro area. The event is planned and promoted by a range of clubs, including the Austin-Healey, Jaguar, Lotus, MG Car Club, MG T Register, Morris Minor, Rolls Royce, Sunbeam, Triumph, TVR, Rocky Mountain Vintage Racing, and British Motorcycle Association clubs.
